Bear Creek Cattle beef is grass-fed and grain-finished Angus and Angus-cross. The Angus breed provides a consistently rich, marbled and tender meat.
Bear Creek Cattle calves are raised with their mother on grass until 10 months of age and then supplemented with hay, silage, ground corn and grain to a finished weight of around 1,000 pounds. We feed only non-GMO corn and grains.
Consumers are more partial to leaner been than in the past, but yet still like the slight marbling for tenderness and flavor.
Bear Creek Cattle are never treated with hormones, antibiotics or growth enhancers.
Bear Creek Cattle beef is ‘dry aged’ for extraordinary flavor and tenderness. The dry aging process produces a more tender and flavorful meat compared to the wet aging process used by commercial beef processors.
